UNB Faculty of Management

Shravani Konda and Dhruv Aggarwal came to UNB’s faculty of management from opposite ends of India, Shravani from Hyderabad in the south, and Dhruv from Amritsar in the north. They each came to pursue their own dreams, they met while pursuing their MBAs, and what began as a strong friendship blossomed into something much more.

Throughout their time at UNB, they were inseparable, taking classes together, collaborating on group projects, and even receiving the Community Leadership Award together in their second year. Both served as teaching assistants and completed the Student Investment Fund course, supporting and encouraging each other through the challenges of graduate school.

Coincidences kept piling up. After graduation, while many classmates moved away, both Shravani and Dhruv chose to build their careers in Fredericton. Shravani joined Chamberlain Wealth, where she is now General Manager, and Dhruv began at RBC, where he currently works as a Relationship Manager in Business Markets. Their friendship continued to grow, and when the time came to consider marriage, they realized the perfect partner had been beside them all along.

“I kept coming back to Dhruv,” Shravani says.

“I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Shravani,” Dhruv adds.

Their story is one of mutual support, shared ambition, and deep connection, rooted in their time at UNB. Today, they’re proud homeowners in Fredericton and are excited to welcome family from India to visit their new home.

Both credit UNB and the faculty of management for helping them grow personally and professionally. Now, they’re giving back by sharing their story with friends back home, answering questions about UNB, and encouraging others to follow in their footsteps. They are also happy to spend time with current students to talk about their experience at UNB and to share advice on careers.
