UNB Off-site Construction Research Centre (OCRC) strengthens global research ties with Leeds Trinity University (LTU)

In an exciting development, the University of New Brunswick and Leeds Trinity University (LTU) have signed a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Dr. Jeff H. Rankin, Professor and Chair at the University of New Brunswick (UNB), and Brandon Searle, Director - Innovations and Operations at UNB Off-site Construction Research Centre (OCRC) participated in the announcement of LTU’s new School of Construction and Built Environment where the MoU was formalized. This significant milestone solidifies the research collaboration between OCRC and esteemed English Universities.
During the signing ceremony, LTU was represented by Vice-Chancellor Professor Charles Egbu, renowned for his research in project management, construction management, and sustainable development, along with Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Mohammed Arif. The MoU signing was part of a larger event organized by LTU, bringing together experts from the fields of construction and the built environment (CBE) in Leeds. The gathering aimed to explore strategies for fostering a more diverse, innovative and younger workforce in the construction industry.
Brandon Searle, Director of Innovations and Operations at OCRC, expressed his excitement, stating, "We are profoundly grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Leeds Trinity University.
