*students looking to apply to more than one award must submit applications for each specific award. Each application should be submitted in one file. Additional documents must be appended to the application form. Multiple documents will not be accepted.

UNB Environmental Studies Graduate Scholarship

Value: Up to $6,000

Conditions: Awarded to graduate students (Master's or Doctoral) who have a demonstrated interest in the environment. Applicants must be a graduate of a high school in Atlantic Canada. Selection is based on academic achievement.

Lambda Foundation Christian Landry Memorial Award for Graduate Studies

Value: $1,000

Conditions: This award is open to any graduate student (entering or already enrolled) at the University of New Brunswick in any field of study, who is undertaking a research project (to include thesis, publication, major paper etc.) contributing to greater knowledge of the gay,  lesbian, bisexual, transgender or intersex communities

Maecenas Graduate Scholarships

Value: Up to $6,000

Conditions: Awarded to graduate students (Master's or Doctoral) on either the Saint John or Fredericton campus, this award is based on Academic Achievements and relevant contributions to the future recipients field of study.

Rowland C. Frazee UNB Graduate Scholarship in Marine Studies

Value: Up to $1,000

Available to full-time students registered in, or applying to, the School of Graduate Studies from either campus. This award is designated to support the research of the successful candidate at the Huntsman Marine Science Centre in St. Andrews, NB.

Emera Graduate Scholarships

Value: Up to $5,000

Awarded to Masters students in Engineering or Computer Science based on academic excellence. Preference will be given to students working within one of the following specific areas of research: electrical systems planning, power generation, efficient dispatch and generation management, electricity pricing strategies, water resources for hydro power and tidal power potential. The program of study may involve computer modeling or other research directed to problems in these areas. Preference will be given to candidates from Atlantic Canada and Maine.

Harold Burke Memorial Scholarship

Value: Up to $4,000

Open to all students enrolled in a Masters or PhD program in Economics who has the potential to become an outstanding economist.

Gerald I. Goobie Chemical Engineering Scholarship

Value: Up to $1,000

Awarded to a graduate student based on academic achievement. Preference will be given to graduate students enrolled or enrolling in the Chemical Engineering graduate program

Elizabeth Parr-Johnston Graduate Fellowship

Value: Up to $5,000

All other criteria being equal, first preference is to be given to a UNB graduate student in Economics who is from the Maritime Provinces. In the absence of such a candidate, graduate students in Arts from the Maritime Provinces, with a preference for those in English and History, are eligible. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of merit. The fellowship is open to UNB graduate students from either the Fredericton or Saint John campus.

Geoff Flood Atlantic Big Data Congress Scholarship

Value: $10,000

Awarded based on review and recommendation by the School of Graduate Studies to an outstanding graduate student on the UNB Fredericton or Saint John campus in the area of data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning whose research relates to an applied project for the private or public sector. A preference will be given to canidates working in the area of health or agriculture.
