What is your most memorable moment from a UNB alumni volunteer experience?

My most memorable moment from a UNB alumni volunteer experience was presenting to a group of prospective students at the Transition to UNB event held in Toronto in 2016. It was great to reminisce and share details of my wonderful experiences at UNB with some of the youth considering joining the UNB family.

What are some of the volunteer roles you have participated in with UNB?

Some of the volunteer roles that I have participated in with UNB as an alumna include a 2016 presentation addressing prospective students from Ontario to share details about what may await them at UNB based on my experiences, and most recently, presenting an alumni champagne toast to the Fall 2020 graduating class during their virtual graduation ceremony.

What are three words that describe your UNB Alumni volunteer experience?

The three words that describe my UNB alumni volunteer experience are gratifying, nostalgic, and prideful.

In what ways do you volunteer outside of UNB within your community?

Currently, I volunteer outside of UNB within my community by supporting the work of the GenNext group of United Way Halton & Hamilton, wherein I facilitate the engagement of young professionals towards giving back to the local social services sector.

What motivates you to give back your time and energy to the Alumni Office/community as a volunteer?

I am motivated to give back to the Alumni Office/community as a volunteer, whenever possible, because of the wonderful memories and experiences, as well as productive professional opportunities that I was exposed to during my time at UNB both as an undergraduate student as well as an employee.

Contribute your time, treasure and talent to UNB. Become a volunteer!
