Brianna Pynn has officially signed with the UNB Saint John Seawolves Women’s Volleyball team!
The 6’0 athlete hails from Nova Scotia originally but has been calling Saint John home for several years now. A Saint Malachy’s grad, Brianna is a multisport athlete with plenty of elite basketball, softball and volleyball experience.
Head Coach Lauren Hale-Miller first noticed Brianna at Volleyball New Brunswick provincials in 2015 and was drawn to her height and athletic strength.
“Bri will add size to our team and this is something we are looking for,” said Head Coach Hale-Miller. “My first impression was that with proper training she could become an extremely good volleyball player”.
Brianna chose UNB Saint John so that she can stay close home and she loves the people and the campus. She will be starting a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology in the fall.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting new people and playing at the next competitive level,” said Brianna. “I think I am going to add more positivity, good work ethic and competitive drive to the team!”
Head Coach Hale-Miller noted that Brianna is a very hard worker, and that her coaching style will mesh well with the incoming hard-working player. She believes Brianna will take direction well and is excited that Brianna has chosen to continue her volleyball career with the Seawolves.
For the upcoming year, Brianna’s goals are to get stronger both physically and mentally, learn how to work harder and improve her skills all around.
“Volleyball has been a passion of mine since forever. Sports are a great way to keep active and healthy, and I love that I can channel my competitiveness in a fun way!”
Welcome to the Seawolves family, Brianna!
