Megan LeBlanc has decided to finish off her education here at UNB Saint John and Coach Lauren Hale-Miller couldn't be happier to have her on board!
The 2017-2018 1st Team All-Conference and ACAA Female Player of the Year is going from wind to water. Megan has spent the last two years at Holland College playing volleyball for the Hurricanes and now she will be finishing out her career with the Seawolves. To Megan, volleyball is and has been a major part of her life and she dedicates much of her time to the sport she loves. Megan is a team player and exemplifies that through her abilities on and off the court, "Whether you win or lose the point you are constantly coming into the middle as a team and reassuring each other that you will side out and get the next point".
Megan chose UNB Saint John because it is close to home (Fredericton, NB) and she feels it is the right fit for her. She grew up with some of the girls that play for the Seawolves so she will be right at home and she is beyond excited to play for Coach Hale-Miller. Other than school and volleyball, Megan enjoys time with her family and friends. She will be taking the Applied Management program at UNB Saint John to finish off her degree from Holland College.
Coach Hale-Miller has known Megan since she began playing with the Spartans Volleyball Club (formerly Tommies VB Club). She has been assistant coach to many teams that Megan has played on including Leo Hayes High School where the team took the NBIAA Varsity Girls title two years in a row. Coach Hale-Miller is very familiar with Megan's style of play and has been following her as an athlete for years now. She is thrilled to have Megan join the Seawolves Family in the fall. "She was named ACAA Player of the Year in her second season as well as CCAA All-Canadian, you don't say no to a player like that".
Megan not only has an outstanding volleyball resume but she has a fantastic personality to go with it! She will have no trouble transitioning to the team as she is easy to be around and has played for Coach Hale-Miller in the past. "Megan knows what I am looking for out of my players and I know that she will come in and get the job done".
Welcome to the Seawolves Family Megan!!
