This past weekend our Women's Volleyball team took to the road to compete against Mt. Allison University and Dalhouse Agricultural College.
On Saturday Nov. 12 the Seawolves nabbed the first set but the Mounties were quick to come back and take the second and third. The Mounties were up 2-1 until the fourth set was clenched by the Seawolves, the last set resulted in a 3-2 win overall for Mt. Allison.
Sunday Nov. 13 versus Dal AC amounted to a great victory for our Lady Seawolves!
As per Head Coach Lauren Miller:
"The girls came back Sunday from a tough loss to Mt. A on Saturday. The first set was a little shaky as they tried to find their groove. We then took control in the second set by stabilizing the defense and running some great plays. During the third set the Seawolves were caught off guard by a strong Dal AC server and found themselves trailing 7-1. After a timeout we picked it up and took control of the game."
2nd Year player Madi Hartos:
"Our offense was executed well and our serves were in the mark to gain points for a lead in the second set. In the third set Dal AC had some great defense, a lot of digs and some aggressive spin serves which really challenged us."
This weekend our Women's Volleyball team will host Mt. Allison Mounties for a repeat challenge. Be sure to come on out and show your support! Sunday Nov. 20 at 3pm.
