The men's volleyball team has been nationally ranked after a stellar performance this past weekend. The team traveled to Quebec, Canada to play in the Coup de l'Est du Canada hosted by Limoilou. After upsetting Humber College, the 7th ranked team in the country, 3-2 the Seawolves made their way back to New Brunswick to face-off against their rivals, the St. Thomas Tommies. The Seawolves came out guns blazing taking an early 2-0 lead over the Tommies. The Tommies battled back to take the 3rd and 4th set, but the 5th set proved to be too much for STU. UNB Saint John came onto the court in the fifth set with authority and didn't look back, taking the set 15-10. Chad White, this week's UNB Saint John Seawolves Papa John's Athlete of the Week, led the way against St. Thomas with 12 kills and 7 digs.
The men's volleyball team has finally found what works for them and what doesn't. They have the bodies to put together a Championship team, it is all about consistency for this squad. After this weekend, the Seawolves are looking very promising heading into the second half of the ACAA season.
