The University of New Brunswick (UNB) has set a mission statement to inspire and educate our community to become problem solvers and leaders in the world, undertake research that addresses societal and scientific challenges, and engage with our partners to build a more just, sustainable, and inclusive world.
This vision to become a leader in sustainability requires a culture of sustainability, which in turn requires awareness. UNB Sustainability strives to increase this sustainability awareness on campus, promote sustainable initiatives and programs while highlighting community actions and stories.
The Green Review has been created to address 3 key aspects:
- to celebrate the diverse efforts of sustainability leaders on our campus.
- to highlight updates and programs that help to address societal and scientific challenges.
- to share tips and stories from the UNB community about their personal sustainable journeys.
To ensure that the Green Review captures the full scope of Sustainability at UNB, the style of blog entry will be split into four, each with subtle differences in delivery style:
- Opinion – This content allows members of the UNB community to share their sustainability-related experiences.
- Questions – This allows members of the UNB community to become exposed to sustainability concepts they otherwise would not have been and thereby increase their baseline knowledge.
- Programs and Updates – This category informs the UNB community about events, upgrades, research projects and other behind the scenes aspects that improve sustainability at the university.
- News – This content allows for the UNB community to share knowledge about the wider scope of sustainability, creating a more informed and engaged audience.
