UNB's Office of Experiential Education is partnering with Future of Work to offer 2 facilitated workshops on Future of Work skills.

For UNB students it is an excellent opportunity to add skills to your resume, and there is no fee for students for these introductory co-curricular workshops.

The Future of Work skills training can show prospective employers that not only do you bring the technical skills needed for the job, but that you also have soft skills that are indispensible in today's workplace. Plus, the skills these module cover, such as creativity and problem-solving, are also useful in your academic and day-to-day life.

Creativity, Originality & Initiative: Friday, February 18, 1-3pm

We're called upon to be creative throughout our lives. But where does it come from, and how can we harness it for professional success? In this workshop, you'll learn to unlock your inner creative self. You'll also practice being vulnerable, sharing unique ideas and accepting offers from others. In the end, you'll leave with the confidence and skills to be strategically creative, demonstrate originality and use initiative for success in the workplace.
Online Facilitated Workshop:  Friday, February 18th, 1pm - 3pm

Reasoning, Problem-Solving & Ideation: Tuesday, February 22, 4-6pm

Our workplaces are calling on us to be adaptable, fill gaps, and handle surprises more than ever before. This workshop teaches how to effectively handle difficult and unexpected challenges by using reason and logic to reach potential solutions. You'll be encouraged to think beyond obvious solutions by practicing ideation and accepting input from others. And, you'll leave with the skills that support independent work, inspire curiosity and enable the generation of innovative solutions.
