The next writing of the Math Placement Test (for students planning on taking MATH 1003 in Winter 2015 for the first time) is on January 7 from 7-8 pm in Tilley Hall 125. Note that if you have already passed MATH 0863 or if you have already taken MATH 1003 once, you do not need to write the test.

Jonathan Ziprick recently joined the department in August 2014 as a postdoctoral researcher after completing his PhD at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. He is partially funded by an Atlantic Association for Research in the Mathematical Sciences (AARMS) fellowship, and his research on quantum gravity has been highlighted in the 2014 AARMS August newletter.
