UNB Track & Field has a new coach!

Chris Belof was announced as the new UNB Track & Field coach, Athletics NB High Performance Coach and Saint John Track Club Coach.

Chris hails from Regina, Saskatchewan and will bring an abundance of experience to the table. As an assistant Coach for the University of Manitoba Track & Field team he understands what it takes to run a successful program. His credentials are excellent not to mention the fact that he is in the process of completing his Masters in Coaching Education. He has experience at not only the university level but also the provincial level and specializes in sprints/hurdles, para-athletics and endurance events. His new journey here in Saint John will build to all of his strengths and experiences.

As per Belof:   "I am excited to join the Athletics New Brunswick and UNB team to be involved with a performance and development driven community. The passion in NB is contagious, and I'm eager to work side by side with such a great group of athletes, coaches and community builders"

Executive Director of Athletics NB, Gabe LeBlanc says: "He brings experience and skills that are tailor made to the job requirements of the position".

The UNB Track & Field team had amazing success for the 2016-17 season and Chris will be a major factor in continuing that success. He will wear multiple hats and his skills will add some great elements to the programs. We here at UNB are just as excited to have Chris on board and we look forward to seeing him grow even further in his career, Chris will begin the position in early July.

WELCOME TO THE UNB FAMILY CHRIS!
