The Women's Volleyball Coach, Lauren Hale-Miller, has been hard at work in the recruiting department!

Keira Williams will be another great addition to the Seawolves family for the 2017-18 season and her  strength will increase the team defensively. Lauren first noticed Williams at the annual Dave Patterson Memorial Volleyball tournament. Her positive attitude, raw talent and athleticism is what really struck a note with the Head Coach and she couldn't be more excited to bring Williams to the next level.

Keira began playing hockey at the age of 6 in addition to horseback riding throughout the years. She understood the concept of team work at a very young age which will be helpful on the court. Her Volleyball career began in grade 9 with the Hampton High Huskies, she started out as a right side hitter but soon switched over to playing Libero. In the last 4  years she has played a significant amount of volleyball (indoor and outdoor) as well as attending developmental camps. She wants to further develop her skills and is excited to do so as a player for the UNB Saint John Seawolves. Other things that keep her busy are boating, photography and travelling.  Adventures are also on the top of her list and she is about to embark on an adventure with the Women's team as they travel to compete against ACAA opponents once the season gets in full swing.

Her love for team work is something she holds close to her heart, the aspect of a team working towards a common goal is what drives her.

"Once you're on a team you're part of something bigger than yourself. Everyone has each other's back and everyone is there to support everyone."

Keira will be studying for her Bachelor of Science degree here at UNB Saint John. She chose this campus because she enjoys the atmosphere, which boasts something of a small, tight knit, community. She likes that the campus is close to home and provides the opportunity for her to stay active and continue playing the sport she loves!

Welcome to the Seawolves Family Keira!!

GO SEAWOLVES!!!
