Our 2024-2025 Office of the Vice President Research annual report is now available online.

From the vice president research:

I am pleased to share our latest 2024-2025 Office of the Vice President Research annual report.

As with last year’s report, this edition presents quantitative indicators and stories that reflect the health, success and impact of our research community.

Among those numbers are:

  • Funding successes to the tune of nearly $50 million in support for projects at UNB;
  • an engaged and dynamic community of researchers, a quarter of whom are in the first five years of their careers;
  • 22 researchers directly supported by UNB through our internal awards and grants programs; and
  • more than a thousand journal articles, books and other research outputs by UNB-affiliated scholars.
Underlying these numbers are moments to celebrate including:
  • Funding for a new national Cyber Attribution Data Centre within the Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity;
  • support for a project that makes housing needs assessments more equitable;
  • a UNB researcher joining a national scientific advisory committee on arctic research; and
  • continued efforts to help government and community decision makers on issues ranging from whale safety to COVID recovery.

I invite you to share in our celebration by reading the report and learning more about the important work shaping research at UNB.

Sincerely, Dr. David MaGee, Vice President Research
