Our 2023-2024 Office of the Vice President Research annual report is now available online.
From the vice president research:
Last year, my office set out to modernize our annual reporting and bring it in line with other university reports. We took the opportunity to look at the how and why underlying our reporting process. We started with a simple question: How do we measure research?
Or, more precisely, how do we measure the impact of our research community and its activities? And how do we ensure our reporting reflects our mission and our strategic goals?
Our consideration of this question shaped the format, layout and content of this year's document.
In it, you’ll find reporting on many of the key indicators of the health and success of our institution’s research agenda and community. You’ll also find a handful of the many stories from within UNB that exemplify that achievement – including our institution’s lead role in a NASA- and Canadian Space Agency-led climate monitoring mission, Dr. Charles Sacobie’s recognition as Skitqomiqewi Kcicihtuwinut and the launch of the iHeal app, designed to help women experiencing intimate partner violence.
I invite you to share in our celebration by reading the report and learning more about the important work shaping research at UNB.
Sincerely,
Dr. David MaGee, Vice President Research
