The University of New Brunswick (UNB) Saint John campus will experience an influx this fall of business students from Foreign Trade University (FTU), a globally esteemed university in Hanoi, Vietnam, with satellite campuses in Ho Chi Minh City and Quảng Ninh.
Participating students, who will have already completed two years of business studies at FTU, will finish their degrees at UNB and graduate with a bachelor of business administration.
A memorandum of understanding, signed May 18 by UNB’s Vice-President Saint John, Dr. Petra Hauf and FTU vice-president, Dao Ngoc Tien, signifies a strengthened partnership between the two institutions and will provide an exciting new wave of student growth within the Saint John campus business community.
The agreement is part of UNB’s Pathway Program with FTU and complements a similar offering in the faculty of management on the Fredericton campus.
The university can now accommodate double the number of FTU transfer students each September - up to 150 students, or 75 per campus.
