Bosonic strings are one-dimensional objects that propagate in a two-dimensional manifold embedded in a higher dimensional target space. The evolution of the string depends on the metric of the target space. In this talk, I will talk about the Polyakov action for a bosonic string and its constraints. I will also describe briefly the Friedmann-Robertson-walker spacetime and eventually the evolution of the bosonic string in this spacetime will be considered.
