VeroSource, an innovative New Brunswick company founded in 2014 and led by CS alum Mark McAllister (BCS'00), offers healthcare providers technology and support to go digital. They've been growing and creating waves of change thanks to a talent pipeline of students and graduates from UNB's computer science faculty.
McAllister says that co-op students are invaluable to the company, and young grads are keen to contribute to the real-world solutions the company is working on.
UNB has been working with industry partners such as VeroSource to further experiential learning opportunities for students and to spur innovation at all levels. Sonya Hull, managing director of strategic industry and community partnerships for the faculty of computer science, says the partnership with VeroSource is exactly the type of close connection with industry they want to establish. "Computer science and digital transformation are pathways to solving real social challenges like those in healthcare - and UNB, our students and faculty are at the heart of that."
