UNB has once again demonstrated its leadership in occupational health and safety (OHS) education by clinching a coveted Readers’ Choice Award from Canadian Occupational Safety (COS) magazine—for the fifth time in six years. This remarkable achievement, and our fourth consecutive win, highlights our unwavering dedication to shaping the future of workplace safety and recognizes us as one of the top three institutions in Canada for OHS programming.

As COS magazine celebrates its tenth anniversary of the Readers’ Choice Awards, the competition has never been more fierce. Out of more than 20 institutions nominated from across the country, UNB was selected based on votes from industry professionals, safety practitioners, and alumni—testament to the broad trust and recognition our program has earned. Our consistent presence among the top contenders underscores our ongoing commitment to delivering innovative, real-world, and impactful occupational health and safety education.

Our success stems from more than just curriculum; it’s rooted in our ability to adapt and lead in a rapidly changing landscape. Our graduates are not only well-versed in safety protocols—they are empowered safety leaders capable of influencing positive change in diverse workplaces.

This achievement is a collective victory—an acknowledgment of the hard work and dedication of our instructors, staff, and industry collaborators. Their commitment to excellence, innovation, and safety advocacy has been instrumental in earning the trust of the voting readership and maintaining UNB’s reputation as a premier OHS education provider.

While we celebrate this milestone, our focus remains on continuous improvement and leadership. Our goal is to sustain and build upon this success, reaffirming UNB’s position as a national leader in occupational health and safety education.
