Grace Gordon has officially signed with the Seawolves women’s soccer team for the 2024 Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) season. Gordon joins UNB Saint John from Kelowna, BC, where she has played soccer since the age of five.
Moving cross-country, Gordon is excited to make Saint John her new home away from home.
“The community in Saint John were supportive and welcoming, and it made my decision a lot easier,” Gordon said.
Gordon will be taking the education program when she joins us in the fall, with aspirations to become a teacher.
Having a passion for sports runs in the family. Gordon looks up to her papa, who understands the hard work and dedication it takes, as he was a professional softball coach.
“Every time I step on the field, I have him on my mind, and he always calls after a game to see how it went, “she said. “It's a relationship I will cherish forever,” she added.
Excited to add another strong defensive player, Head Coach PJ Ward looks forward to strengthening the backline.
“Grace reads the game well, and her skills and techniques allow us to build up from back,” Ward said. “She is going to be a great fit within our united squad.”
Welcome to the Seawolves Family, Grace!
