The Seawolves are already gearing up for the 2024 Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association men’s soccer season with their first recruit, Connor Sikasak.

Sikasak’s passion for the game started at a young age when he played recreational soccer in his hometown of Lorette, Manitoba. It was during this time that he developed and strengthened his skills on the field and others started to take notice of his talent. At the age of 14 he was recruited by Elite & Excel Sports Management. E&E Sport Management helps players reach the next level by providing pathways to CCAA and U Sports.

“I am passionate about my sport because of all the things that come along with it, wanting to improve and become the best version of myself, making new friends and competitiveness,” he said.

From there Sikasak stepped up as a leader of his school soccer team holding the title of captain for two years as a Lorette Scorpion. He hopes to continue to step up and show that he can make a difference for the Seawolves too. “I want to be able to become a game changer when I’m on the field,” he said.

Committed to the sport and his studies, Sikasak has been an honor roll student since grade nine proving his work ethic on and off the field. With future aspirations to become a Marketing manager, he is excited to get out of his comfort zone by taking UNB Saint John’s Business program.

Now success doesn't come without support. Sikasak credits his mom for always championing his drive to compete. “My biggest role model is my mom because she always wants the best for me and pushes me to try my hardest,” he said.

Sikasak’s mom is not the only one who believes he can make a difference on the field. Head coach PJ Ward is looking forward to seeing Sikasak in action next fall. “Connor will be bringing his ability to score goals and work ethic up front. He is someone that will never stop working for his teammates,” Ward said. “We are looking forward to seeing him bond with his teammates this coming season.”

Welcome to the Seawolves Family Connor!
