University of New Brunswick Sustainability will be hosting its third annual bi-campus Sustainability Week from Oct. 13 to 16.
Due to COVID-19, the week will be exclusively virtual. Follow along with a variety of partnering UNB social media accounts throughout the week as they share how they are celebrating sustainability.
There will also be several virtual events, including a green business panel hosted by the UNB Student Union; a group discussion hosted by the International Students Advisors Office about sustainability around the world; and an online sustainable food discussion hosted by UNB Student Union Food. Tune in, join the conversation, and learn more about how you can incorporate sustainable choices into your everyday life.
“Although this year will be very different, we are excited to collaborate with several campus partners with the goal of making this year's Sustainability Week a success,” says Danielle Smith, UNB’s sustainability coordinator.
Along with these events, there will also be an education campaign that highlights the work that the UNB community is doing to address the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. There will be posters in the Student Union Building frames and online on UNB Sustainability’s social media accounts. Highlighted projects will include student and faculty research, operational improvements and university initiatives from both the Fredericton and Saint John campuses.
