Picture this: Instead of binging on Netflix all summer, how about diving into some credit courses and making your brain do a happy dance?
Think of summer courses like the express lane to academic success. You can knock out a whole term's worth of material in just a few weeks. That might mean catching up on credits, graduating early, or just enjoying a lighter load in the fall.
Still not convinced? That's okay, we're just getting started:
- Get that course you've been avoiding out of the way.
- Summer classes tend to have a more relaxed atmosphere, which can help a challenging class be more manageable. You can also get a prerequisite out of the way.
- Work at your own pace.
- Our open entry credit courses are 100% online so you can enjoy your summer while earning credits toward your degree. There are also numerous term based credit courses offered online or through distance.
- Enjoy smaller classes.
- Most summer courses have reduced class sizes, so you get to know your classmates and professors without the stress of a crowded lecture hall.
- Boost your GPA.
- Taking extra courses in the summer can be a great way to improve your marks without the intensity of a full course load.
- Take fun courses.
- You don't have to fill your summer with required courses; take an elective with no pre-requisites such as Introduction to Video Games (MAAC 2095), Introductory Spanish (SPAN 1203), Mythology and Religion of the Romans (CLAS 3523), to name a few.
- Soak in the beauty of campus.
- Take an in-person term based course [link to tb index page] and enjoy the beauty of the UNB campus. Sit on the soft grass under a shady tree and watch the world go by as you relax between classes.
- Balance school and fun.
- Learning in the summer doesn't have to mean sacrificing your fun time. You can keep your mind engaged, get closer to your degree, and still have time for yourself and your friends and family. Who said you can't have it all?
