The University of New Brunswick’s Board of Governors have voted in favour of ratifying a new four-year collective agreement with the Association of University of New Brunswick Teachers (AUNBT) Full-Time membership.

“We are pleased to have reached an agreement that works for everyone,” says Dr. Van Lantz, Chief Negotiator for UNB.

The new agreement includes salary increases of 0.9% every six months beginning on July 1, 2016 and includes revisions to bereavement leave, research and other policies. Both teams will continue to meet to implement the initiatives agreed to at the bargaining table.

“We share a commitment to academic excellence and student success and that was prevalent amongst all discussions. Our intent from the beginning was to be transparent and collaborative, and the AUNBT team reciprocated.”

AUNBT Full-Time membership voted overwhelmingly in favour on July 12, 2016.
