#### Graduate Seminar Differential Forms in Topology and Geometry

**Mohammed Alhumaidi** (UNB)

##### Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 3:30 pm

##### Tilley Hall Room 5

We give a brief overview of differential forms and their properties, including Stoke’s theorem. The definition of de Rham cohomology is then given. This is followed by the presentation of two applications: the derivation of the Hopf invariant and a proof of the Gauss Bonnet theorem using the method of moving frames.
##### Mohammed Alhumaidi is a graduate student of the Mathematics/Statistics GAU

##### This talk is presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree
