Over the next 16 months eServices, WebAdvisor, InsideUNB, and the myUNB Portal will be updated or replaced to improve functionality, accessibility, and design.

Changes to these - and other internally focused websites - will be strategic, thoroughly tested and include significant community involvement with criteria and processes developed and followed.

eServices and WebAdvisor

First introduced 20 years ago, eServices has evolved to become a highly customized gateway to essential information people use every day. However, due to customization it hasn’t been updated for a very long time and is showing its age with limited functionality, poor accessibility and a tired interface.

Both eServices and WebAdvisor will be moved to an enhanced cloud service by Dec. 31, 2020. The current services housed within these systems will be assessed and rethought, moved to other locations like Colleague Self-Service, or decommissioned.
At the same time our internal web environment—which is highly fragmented with some elements nearing obsolescence—will also require changes:

Content currently found on InsideUNB websites and intended primarily for an internal audience (for example Human Resources, Registrar’s Office, Security, etc.) will be migrated to Office365 providing a more streamlined, searchable and targeted way to access internal UNB information. Some exceptions such as job postings and the like will be available via UNB’s public website.

InsideUNB will be discontinued by the end of this effort.

The myUNB site will continue to be the central hub for the UNB community to access tools, services, information, resources and items previously found in eServices and WebAdvisor.

These changes will provide all of us with significant benefits including an improved and more fully integrated internal web environment offering better security; improved usability; increased support; and a lower number of platforms to support, resulting in an overall enhanced experience for everyone.
