This year, UNB’s current VoIP telephone services are being replaced with new VoIP technology that fully integrates with Microsoft Teams (UNB’s group chat software).

Why is this necessary?

Our current VoIP technology has an end-of-life of June 2020. We must have a new solution in place before this date to ensure continued phone services for the university.

What are the benefits of the new telephone services?

  • reduce costs for the university
  • integrate with UNB Office 365 (O365) services
  • provide a wide-range of new features not available with our current VoIP solution
  • allow you to place/receive calls from anywhere, on any device
  • and more

Campus town halls

ITS invites all faculty and staff to join us to learn more about the new telephone services and how they will be rolled out across campus.
