Starting Monday, Aug. 26, ITS will be updating all UNB-owned Windows computers with the latest version of ESET, UNB’s endpoint security software.

What this means to you

Note: this update impacts UNB-owned Windows computers only. If you have a Mac, you won’t be affected.

This update will be pushed out automatically by ITS with no action required by you.

As your computer is being updated, you’ll see a series of pop-up messages from ESET (see below); feel free to exit these windows and continue working like normal.

Once the update is complete (it will only take a few minutes), your device will be fully protected by the latest version of ESET. Recommended: Please restart your device at your earliest convenience.

If you have any questions or experience any issues during the update, please contact the IT Service Desk.
