Watch out for fake CRA tax refund emails

This time of year, cyber criminals often send emails claiming to be from the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) letting you know your tax refund is available and to click a link to claim your refund.

Don’t fall for a tax refund scam - if you receive an email like this, do not click any links or open any attachments. Instead, log in to your CRA account directly from the CRA website and you’ll be able to see any legitimate statements or refund messages within your account.
