Similar to the RBC phishing scam recently reported at UNB, we have now been made aware of the latest phishing email—this time targeting TD bankers.

TD phishing email

What you’re looking for:

  • Cybercriminals are sending the email (supposedly) on behalf of TD Canada Trust
  • They are offering a $245 credit to your TD EasyWeb account when you switch to online monthly statements by a certain date
  • Links are provided for you to “make the switch”

What you should do:

  • DO NOT click on any of the links provided
  • Report the phishing attempt to the ITS Help Desk

Visit ITS’ Phishing Examples webpage to see examples of common phishing emails, including one for banking scams (the recent—and very similar—RBC phishing email).
