UNB s Cyber Security Awareness Campaign in the spotlight

This October, UNB’s Cyber Security Awareness Campaign kicked off throughout the UNB Community to bring students, faculty, and staff up to speed on the risks and threats that exist on the internet.unbarmyourself On October 7, the Brunswickan featured an article on UNB’s ambitious campaign. ITS’ David Shipley, who is leading the campaign, said “people take internet privacy for granted”. When our community members are visiting infected websites, and opening infected links, UNB becomes targeted by millions of cyber-attacks every week. It’s not just UNB either. Universities across North America are being targeted by cyber criminals for the vast amount of personal information that is kept in student, faculty, and staff records. It doesn’t stop there.
