Phishers are always creating new attempts to steal critical information that could put you in jeopardy.you got mail One of the more serious forms of phishing is a spear phishing email which is a socially engineered email that specifically targets an individual. The sender pretends to be someone of authority and makes a request to be completed with urgency, encouraging the unsuspecting individual to skip authentication steps or regular procedures when performing tasks such as money transfers. How can you spot a spear-phishing email? Look for the signs – if the email has a request that is urgent, confirm with that individual by calling them, talking to them in person, or sending them an email using the UNB directory – do not reply to the email you received.
