MyUNB.jpg One of the key pieces of UNB’s web re-development, a vastly improved MyUNB, is going to become a reality in the coming weeks and months. MyUNB will be the home of internal-facing web resources for the university community. Current students, staff, and faculty will be able to customize their own personal ‘space’ on the portal to have a look and feel that suits them and they will also be able to add or remove news feeds and links to UNB resources. MyUNB is expected to launch in January 2011 with the help of many individuals across UNB. Although other ITS staff members will be included in this project as required, ITS's core MyUNB team has already been identified: • Ben Steeves • Isil Flynn • Melissa Hannah • David Ross (UNBSJ - ISS) • New Web Developer (TBD) Next Steps Whatever final form MyUNB takes, the next steps are to: • Gather the required resources to move the project along; • Gather feedback from users and apply it to the project; • Determine the direction for MyUNB; • Identify and incorporate standards and best practices into all MyUNB tasks.
