The University of New Brunswick would like to invite you to a literary reading by acclaimed Canadian writer Steven Galloway, which will be held on Thursday, Jan. 21, at 8 p.m. in Memorial Hall on the UNB's Fredericton Campus.

Galloway is the author of three critically-acclaimed novels including his latest international bestseller, The Cellist of Sarajevo. This third novel was a finalist for the BC Book Prize's Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize.

Set against the backdrop of war, it is the story of a cellist who plays Albinoni's Adagio once a day in memory of 22 people killed by mortar fire while waiting for bread rations. As the cellist honours each victim, a hidden shooter threatens to bring an early end to his tributes.
