UNB is pleased to announce that Dr. Sarah King has been selected as UNB’s new director of experiential education. The position is generously funded by the Province of New Brunswick for three years as part of a broad initiative to enhance and grow experiential learning at the four universities.

Sarah is an educator and researcher in the experiential education field, completing her PhD at UNB’s faculty of education in the field of experiential learning and citizenship education at Atlantic Canadian universities. She has extensive experience as a contract academic instructor at Renaissance College and has been an active participant in UNB’s experiential learning initiatives and student success and engagement committees and activities. She has engaged with community partnerships and organizations and is committed to community-engaged learning and interdisciplinary education.

The director role rests within the portfolios of the vice-president academic (Fredericton) and the vice-president Saint John, as it will serve the academic mission of UNB in supporting the growth of experiential education in all faculties and departments. The activities and work of this position will be co-ordinated and supervised by the two campus associate vice-presidents, Dr. Kathy Wilson and Dr. Laurelle LeVert.
