Saint John College at the University of New Brunswick’s Saint John campus is now offering the Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP), Canada’s leading English language test for those applying for Canadian permanent residency and citizenship.

Saint John College is excited to offer the CELPIP, and hopes to address the needs of the immigrant community by offering the CELPIP tests, which are officially recognized by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) as proof of English language proficiency. Test dates are available beginning in September 2017, and will be scheduled monthly on weekends.

The CELPIP tests are the only Canadian tests recognized by IRCC for immigration and citizenship purposes, and include key features such as:

  • a fully computer-delivered test, with all components completed in one test sitting, and no human examiners present;
  • incorporated Canadian English and accents, using the English that test takers hear and use in their day-to-day activities;
  • Results are available online in eight business days after the test, with the option for express rating for even faster results.

“We are pleased to offer the CELPIP tests to our community,” said Lindsay Taylor Doiron, Saint John College’s associate director. “The CELPIP tests provide an affordable, reliable, and secure way for individuals to prove their English language proficiency for immigration purposes.”
