The third annual community wide electronic-waste recycling day, hosted by UNB Saint John, will be held on Saturday, September 17.
The day will start at 9 a.m. however, it is first come first serve and once the truck is full we cannot accept any additional items.
Televisions, computers and other electronic items contain hazardous materials like lead, mercury and cadmium. They pose a threat to the environment if buried in a landfill.
This one-day event is an excellent opportunity to keep our used electronics out of the landfill.
Saint John firefighters will also be on hand to help load the truck collect for a boot drive on behalf of muscular dystrophy.
