On Friday February 19 Carlisle Institute in partnership with UNB Saint John will be hosting the fourth and final BizEd2025 symposium, Summit 2016 - exploring the need for change in university business education and the increasing global challenges facing our province.

”We have made a few changes to the format for this fourth and final symposium,” explains Dr. Greg Fleet assistant dean of the faculty of business on the Saint John campus and co-organizer.

The event duration will now be 2.5 hours, and the agenda will include: a summary of the ideas and discussions generated at the first three symposia; and a panel presentation on a number of responsive initiatives underway on Saint John campus and in the faculty of business. It will also be held at the Beaverbrook House in Uptown Saint John.

The previous symposia in 2015 helped to clarify three key themes when exploring the need for change in university business education and the increasingly global challenges facing our province:

  • the need for program and course relevance;
  • ensuring teaching and learning excellence in the classroom; and
  • the importance of collaboration with government, industry and our community.

The next BizEd2025 symposium is scheduled from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at the Beaverbrook House in Uptown Saint John (127 Carleton Street).
