The Andrews Initiative, in honour of Bill Andrews, was launched in 2011 thanks to President Emeritus, John McLaughlin. The initiative is considered to be an intellectual journey for those who are interested in exploring substantive subjects of current significance. The initiative features prominent subject experts drawn from international, national and local communities and explores topics of relevance in the 21st century.
This years Andrews Initiative is thrilled to welcome Col. Hadfield to campus as part of our signature lecture series. The event will take place on Tuesday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. at The Lady Beaverbrook Gymnasium on the UNB Fredericton Campus. The event is free admission but the attendance is limited by the venue capacity and tickets will be awarded based on a lottery draw after registration.
This year’s speaker, Commander Chris Hadfield, has fascinated more than 1.2 million Twitter followers with photographs, videos, and songs from space. Harnessing the power of the Internet, especially social media, Hadfield has captivated a worldwide audience with the wonder and possibility of space.
