New Lorenzo Reading Series Coordinator

The Lorenzo Society is pleased to announce Alison Hughes as the new coordinator for the Lorenzo Reading Series.
Alison is a writer, editor and photographer with a passion for all things artistic. In addition to her studies in art history and theory as part of her bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees, Alison has worked as an art gallery manager and as the executive director of a National Exhibition Centre.
The Lorenzo Society at UNB Saint John sponsors an impressive selection of cultural and intellectual entertainment for the enjoyment of the entire community.
The Lorenzo Society Reading Series has featured major Canadian authors such as Donna Morrissey, Patrick Rothfuss, Linden McIntyre and Wayne Johnston. Having won the Literary Arts Award at the inaugural event of the Originals - an Arts Awards for Saint John event - in June of 2010, the Reading Series is also recognized nationally by publicists, authors and publishing houses as “the” reading series.
This year’s series continues to feature major Canadian writers such as David Adams Richards, Michael Crummey, Kathleen Winter and Linden McIntyre.
The exciting 2014 – 2015 reading line up is part of UNB Saint John’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.
