Critically acclaimed writer Wayne Johnston to read as part of Lorenzo Reading Series

Critically acclaimed writer Wayne Johnston will read from The Son of a Certain Woman on Friday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Ganong Hall Lecture Theatre on the UNB Saint John campus.

Johnston will read on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 8 p.m. in Memorial Hall on the UNB Fredericton campus.

The Son of a Certain Woman was longlisted for the 2013 Scotiabank Giller Prize.

Wayne Johnston was born and raised in the St. John's area of Newfoundland. His number one, nationally bestselling novels include The Divine Ryans, A World Elsewhere, The Custodian of Paradise, The Navigator of New York and The Colony of Unrequited Dreams, which will be made into a film. Johnston is also the author of an award-winning and best-selling memoir, Baltimore's Mansion

On the Saint John campus, the reading is hosted by the Lorenzo Reading Series and supported by the Canada Council for the Arts. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
