Recognizing the importance of partnerships, the UNBSJ faculty of business has signed articulation agreements with a number of institutions to support college graduates wishing to pursue Baccalaureate degrees.
The UNBSJ Bachelor of Applied Management (BAM) degrees offer college graduates the chance to continue their education at the University level from a variety of these college partners, and diplomas, to earn an undergraduate degree with only two more years - or four semesters - of study.
"To date we have renewed 22 domestic agreements and one international agreement," says Dr. Robert MacKinnon, vice-president, UNBSJ.
Partners include Holland College, Canadore College, Georgian College, Internapa College, and many others.
"Through our solid relationship with the College of the North Atlantic, we are pursuing opportunities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels with their Qatar operations."
"We are also working very closely with NBCC, our primary partner, as they continue to transition under their new model of governance, and develop new curriculum."
Students can choose to specialize in accounting, hospitality and tourism management, or general business to supplement their two-year college diploma when enrolled in the BAM degree program.
"During 2013-2014, we will continue to work closely with our partners to build upon our relationships and ensure college graduates have the opportunity to further their post-secondary studies including access to our nationally recognized co-op program," says Dr. MacKinnon.
