On Thursday, March 14, at 7 p.m. the Faculty of Education Colloquium Series is proud to host Dr. Jennifer Pazienza who will present Beautiful Dreamer, at Marshall d’Avray Hall, Room 356, UNB Fredericton Campus.
In a world fraught with polluted politics, global environmental degradation, economic greed - a world where the race to keep up with the next best technological bell and whistle is often run against the well being of its citizenry - what role can a painting practice play, particularly one with an unfashionable eye for beauty? In Landscape - Love & Longing, 2007-2010, a series of large-scale oil paintings, Jennifer came face to face with beliefs about landscape painting, beauty and social justice. In Beautiful Dreamer Jennifer looks at the experience of making the paintings and the paintings themselves through the writing of contemporary art and landscape theorists.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact José Domene.
