Four UNB students win national scholarships

Four University of New Brunswick students were awarded scholarships from Electro-Federation Canada (EFC).
The EFC Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships annually to university and college students across the country.
Among the winners were UNB's own Jonah Tremblay, an electrical engineering student who won the Affiliated Distributors Electrical Industry Scholarship valued at $3,500;
Ian Colwell, also an electrical engineering student awarded the Siemans Canada Academic Achievement Award valued at $3,500;
Alexandre Deslongchamps, a business administration student who won the Standard Recognition of Excellence Award valued at $3,500;
and Conor McCullough, a science and computer engineering student awarded the EFC University Scholarship valued at $1,000.
Supporting students for 17 years, the EFC Foundation Scholarship Program encourages Canadian youth to pursue a career in the electrical, electronics, and telecommunications industries. To date, EFC has invested over $600,000 in the post-secondary technical training and education.
There were 45 scholarships awarded this year.
