Message from the President regarding the University of Alberta

As some of you may have already heard, there was a shooting incident following what appears to have been an attempted armed robbery at the University of Alberta in Edmonton last night.
Three people are dead and a fourth is in critical condition. Police are still investigating. University officials are expected to speak about the incident today.
Please join me in offering our deepest sympathy and condolences to the victims and their families, as well as students, faculty and staff at the University of Alberta, and others affected by this tragedy.
