CBC Co-host of CBC TV s fifth estate Linden MacIntyre to read from Why Men Lie

Canadian journalist, broadcaster and novelist Linden MacIntyre will read from Why Men Lie on Friday, April 13 at 7 p.m. in the Ganong Hall Lecture Theatre on the Saint John campus of the University of New Brunswick.
Novelist Linden MacIntyre is a co-host of CBC TV’s fifth estate and the winner of nine Gemini Awards for broadcast journalism. His bestselling first novel, The Long Stretch, was nominated for a CBA Libris Award and his boyhood memoir, Causeway: A Passage from Innocence, was a Globe and Mail Best Book and won the Edna Staebler Award for Non-fiction and the Evelyn Richardson Prize. His second novel, The Bishop’s Man, won the Giller Prize, the Dartmouth Book Award, and the CBA Libris Fiction Book of the Year. It has been translated into eight languages. The Giller jury citation described The Bishop’s Man as a “brave novel, conceived and written with impressive delicacy and understanding.”
The reading is hosted by the Lorenzo Reading Series and the UNB Saint John Bookstore, and supported by the Canada Council for the Arts. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
