Award-winning writer David Bezmozgis will read from his new novel, The Free World on Monday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. in the Ganong Hall Lecture Theatre on the UNB Saint John campus.
Filmmaker and fiction writer David Bezmozgis is the author of Natasha and Other Stories (2004), winner of a Commonwealth First Book Prize and a City of Toronto Book Award and a finalist for a Governor General’s Award. His stories have appeared in Best American Short Stories and Best American Stories. In 2010 The New Yorker placed Bezmozgis in the top 20 fiction writers under 40. His first feature film, Victoria Day, premiered at Sundance in 2009.
The reading is hosted by the Lorenzo Reading Series and the UNB Saint John Bookstore, and supported by the Canada Council for the Arts. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
