FREDERICTON - Former University of New Brunswick president John Anderson is being remembered as a visionary conversationalist and a "national treasure."
Anderson died Thursday, at his home in St. Andrews. He was 84 years old.
"Embracing the philosophy that people should always do the type of work they like to do, Dr. Anderson again and again pursued new challenges, from being a high school dropout, to research scientist, university professor, and president of one of the oldest public universities in North America," read his obituary.
