If you only had 11 minutes, what would you say? We’re giving extraordinary people 11 minutes on stage. They’ll be using 11 muscles to talk. You’ll be inspired, captivated, and entertained. Together we’ll help those in our community living with Muscular Dystrophy!
11 Minutes/11 Muscles is an event conceived and organized by students in UNB’s MBA professional development class to support Muscular Dystrophy Canada (MDC). Inspired by the short dynamic TED talks featured on ted.com, 11 Minutes/11 Muscles will feature the Honourable Graydon Nicholas, Lieutenant-Governor of New Brunswick; Freeman Patterson, photographer and writer; Rachel Pulfer, international program director, Journalists for Human Rights; Stanton T. Friedman, physicist and ufologist; Brian Duplessis, executive director, United Way; and David Adams Richards, author, playwright and Saint Thomas University writer-in-residence. The evening will end with a reception and silent auction.
11 Minutes/11 Muscles takes place on April 1, 7 p.m., in the Fredericton Convention Centre. Tickets are $50 ($30 for students) and can be purchased on campus at the UNB Bookstore starting at noon on Wednesday, March 16. They can also be purchased on campus at the Faculty of Business Administration Office, Singer Hall, Room 255 and off campus at Read’s Newsstand and Café, 455 King Street, and the Muscular Dystrophy Canada Office, 56 Avonlea Court.
