OTTAWA - Darryl Boyce of Summerside scored his first career National Hockey League goal Saturday night.
The 26-year-old Summerside native beat the Ottawa Senators' Mike Brodeur with a wrist shot at 3:18 of the second period to give the Toronto Maple Leafs a 4-0 lead. The Leafs went on to defeat the Senators 5-1.
Kris Versteeg and Colby Armstrong earned assists on Boyce's goal.
Overall, Boyce played 20 shifts and 11 minutes 38 seconds (11:38), finished with a plus-1 rating and picked up one minor penalty for kneeing at 19:05 of the first period.
